Loaded about 160 .300 BLK and ~500 9mm today. Back on track for my ammo supplies after a couple of matches. Ran out of .300 BLK brass from the American Reloading pile, so I suppose I'll need to see if I have any more clean brass I can prep[1]. Also got through all of my current batch of 9mm bullets, so it's time to pull open the latest box from AR to see what the profile looks like on those. It's rather interesting to see how different 124gr bullets can be despite having the same weight.

In general, I think it's going to be time to inventory and maybe clean up a bit, I guess. It's also time to plan for next year. I think a few of my more commonly used dies could use upgrades (9mm seating die, 223 sizer over priming, 223 seating die, 300 seating die, etc.), and I also want to build out prep and load toolheads for 7.62x39.

[1] The reality is that I don't even load my supers very hot, but I've picked up enough random brass that paranoia might be a good idea.

Prepped (decapped/sized/trimmed/swaged) about 80 .308 cases. Found a few 8x56 (I think) cases mixed in... that was a head-scratcher until I figured out what was going on. Not sure what they're going to get loaded with yet... maybe 110gr V-Max for some "Urban TAP at home" action.

500rds of .357 Sig loaded really warm on my XL650. Max load in Lyman manual and .4gr under max on Hodgdon site and GRT (assuming 100f temperature)
According to GRT they should do about 1450fps out of my G31 with an extended, ported barrel.
I have chrono proof of 125 underwoods faster than that out of my glock 33. But I'm a nut job, as you are well aware.

My only reloading task accomplished today was to sort out some 45acp and 44 mag brass so I can decap it all next week.

Did 100 rounds of .45. First batch of 50 was 5.3 grn of WIN231 pushing 230 RN-FMJ. Second batch was 7.0 grn of Accurate No. 5 pushing the same bullet.

Cast probably just short of 500 bullets for 6.8 SPC yesterday. MP Molds says should be 125 and I’m getting 135 on all of them with wheel weights

Got bored with my usual mass reloading projects. Decided to play around with berdan to boxer conversions. Drilled a small primer center sleeve along the berdan primer, with the primer dimple being the center pilot already, removing the berdan anvil in the process with a mini lathe. I then swage the sleeve to spec with a rcbs press mounted swager, followed by punching out a flash hole using a mighty armory thin decapping pin.

The case can then be sized, primed, and loaded as usual. I exclusively load reduced cast loads for these conversions. Keeps the combloc stuff fed without compromising hard to find components. This process can also be done on 54R and 308 steel cases as well.

Loaded some old school 10 Gauge (not magnum) Bismuth loads for the old doubles that want to play with me.
Take a 3 1/2" Federal Hull and trim it on the drill press to 2 7/8", deprime and reprime. Measure exact weighed loads of powder on an old Lyman 55 Measure, seat a wad, weigh each shot charge (the stuff is expensive....) then weigh and add buffer, place a top card wad and roll crimp on the drill press.
You cant buy it so if you want it you make it. Target loads in 12 gauge are way easier and faster .....

Over the last couple of weeks I completed prepping a pile of brass and loaded enough 9mm, .223, and 7.62x39 to fill all of my plastic ammo boxes. Finally caught up on the loading. :)

Planning a visit to my dad's today where a fresh pile of brass waits to be picked up, some of it primed. Looks like I will back at it in the coming weeks.

Decided to clean things up and install a shelf on the bench. Have 50 rounds .500 S&W waiting to be filled before a long winter nap and shells in their holder waiting for there 350 grain caps.

Load my first ladder for 45 super. 230gr XTP at 1.240” running 7.2-8gr of CFE pistol in theory should put it at about 1080fps from my 6.6” Glock 21l and about 25.5k PSI.

    10 rounds a step, .2gr steps.

I am going to work up some 168/175gr SMK .308 test loads next week. I’ll need to see what else I need to load ladders for.

I need to get down to loading a crap ton of stuff as I am not sure if my stuff is going in to storage, or I’ll have a place to move it to in the next couple/few months. So I want to try to get as much loaded as I can in case I won’t have the setup to load for a year or two.

I just want to ensure I have the loads worked out that I want to load for. I should other than those two.

I might also load a ladder of 165gr GD .308 if I have the time to test next week or the following.

I caught Blue disease years ago and never looked back. Dillon makes TANKS and they offer rehab/cleaning service if you really work em hard. Do yourself a favor and order a spare parts kit. It will keep your party from coming to an unexpected halt.

And NEVER force the handle up when it doesn't want to go. It will break the indexing ring. That's the weakest link in the press. I keep at least one or two spares on hand.
