Cheaper than the Harbor Freight 6" model. FYI the Craftsman is not US made.

By cheap I mean less expensive, not lower quality.

Hell of a deal. I paid about 125 for mine.

They may be made in the same place as a HF Vise, but these are certaibly insoected, machined, and finished better than a HF Vise.

I know it is cheap Chinese steel, but it is still quite beefy (41 lbs). I think it is more than capable for light and medium duty work. I used this vise for castle nuts, barrel nuts, and muzzle devices without any issues or concerns when it comes to durability.

Clandestine approved Craftsman 6 in. Bench Vise is on sale for $46. Normal price is $60+. You also get $22.50 towards a future purchase if you are a Show Your Way Rewards member.

I mounted mine to a piece of 3/4" plywood (36"x22") so it is portable. I got the idea of making it portable in this video.

Nice! I'm in the process of mounting my reloading presses in a similar fashion, and was planning on mounting vices and grinders the same way.

Bowie sears had them in stock.

I chose free delivery to white oak.

They threw me an additional $13 discount for a savers account leading me to $34 out the door...

I have my grinders on plywood also. The plywood has holes to fit 2 bench dogs to keep it from wandering away on the work bench.

Related, anyone know where locally to get 1 ft of rail for a cheap anvil? eBay has them, but $$$

Amazon sells it for $60, shipping weight is 37.5lbs, costs about $25 to ship.

How much for Sears to ship? Couldn't get the 'free pick up' tool to work.

    Yep, model 51856

I did the free pick up. Make sure it is in stock at the store you want to get it from. It is a hefty piece. I also ended up getting a inch-pound torque wrench on sale for $51. It wasn't marked but the worked said, "let me check that price, it was on sale last week". Turned out it was.
