    Hey all,

I picked up a CZ82 from AIM a short while back. I noticed that if you firmly tighten the hand grip screw, the magazine does not release and slide out; takes great effort to pop the magazine by pulling on it. If you loosen the hand grip scews, then the magazine will drop out when released, but the grips are then sloppy (loose). Is there a fix for this?

    Kindest Regards,

Try shimming it with somthing? Maybe take paper, thin sheet of rubber, tin foil or something to stick in between the frame and the grip so you can take out the shake?
Maybe if you replaced the grips with aftermarket ones that might work?

Not sure, but I would love to learn what works to fix it. I don't have the problem with mine, but if I ever bought another one it is good to know how to fix it if it has the same problem.

I had the same issue with the new grips I got for my 1911... I just pulled the screws out and busted out the dremel with a grinding wheel and shaved the screw end down just enough to not stick into the magwell.

No, it's not the screws. There is something in the construction of each grip that is binding on the magazine when you tighten them down.

I've got two of these, and the other one is fine. As a matter of fact, a gorilla tightened the screws on the one that works flawlessly withy the magazine eject operation.

There is a slight difference with the right side handgrip which works with no issue, as opposed to the right side handgrip on the one that is binding. Looks like the one that works well has more of an area on the rear of it where it contacts the pistol frame, possibly keeping the hanguard from flexing too much as srew tension is applied.

I need to probably shim the one that ain't working (as suggested). I ordered a second set of handgrips from that guy in the Czech Republic; I hope that I can get those to work as well.

    Kindest Regards,
