She left her kids in an unlocked car with a gun in the glove box?
I'm glad she stopped the carjacking but she sounds kinda dumb.

She was filling the tank. I could see it.

But as for the 'jacker... IN YOUR FACE!!!

    ?

She had gone into the petrol station's convenience store when an employee alerted her that a man was entering her SUV.

A kid should be left around an unsecured firearm for exactly zero seconds.

She's in the news today for shooting a bad guy. She could just as easily be in the news for getting shot by her four year old or for her four year old shooting the two year old.

I’m sorry for this as I usually enjoy your posts. A kid in a car seat and an un chambered firearm in a car is safe. Even if chambered the risk is small. Thanks for the concern...

With an infant yes but not a four year old. Four year olds are inquisitive and have enough strength and motor skills to pull a trigger. It sounds like she basically reached in, grabbed the gun, and squeezed one off in the guy. A kid could do the same.

Mark how does the Texas law read? Is there no duty to secure the gun from children or can you just lay it on the seat or what not?

It must be “concealed”, that’s about it.
