I have one too, i would agree with everything you posted, except mine does have play between the uppen and lower. I went with the Magpul ACS stock and kept the stock grip. I like the factory flash hinder, it reminds me of the M14 :D.

I am also running and Eotech one mine (517) plus a tango down VFG but will be swaping out to a Magpul VGF (is on the mail). Yes it is heavy, especially up front. I wanted to send mine to get cut to 14.5 but the barrel etching would be ruined. I have a little wear on the tube but nothing serious. From what i have read it will kind of stop after a 1k rounds or so. I still have to replace the bolt pin to a round one, because it has marred my upper a bit.

Does anyone know how to keep spare AA batteries on the Magpul ACS from rattleting(sp).

A packing peanut(pink doubleloop works best) works for most anything I choose to slide in there with it.(guntool)

AFAIK the rails are pinned in place and can not be removed by the end user.

Yea they are pinned on, I'm sure I could get it apart. BUT, putting it back together is question my real concern.

BTW.. I emailed ADCO and am waiting for a response

    My Ruger SR-556

Just got my Ruger and I love it. Very solid gun and impressively accurate.

Getting 2-2.5 in grouping at 200yds. Using a gun sled.

I have an Aimpoint PRO with a 3.25x Eotech flip mount and couldn't be happier.

It is a little front heavy but you do get used to it. Also put a rail grip on and that seems to help.

Added a Magpul B.A.D. Lever to help with quick battery activation.

Using Fiocchi .223 55gr FMJ BT Ammo at the range. Currently getting it at DSG Arms for $339 / case SHIPPED 1000 rds

    I am going to use Federal's P223Q 60gr Nosler® Partition® for hunting White Tail.

    Small world.

I would hate to be on the receiving end of that .308 though.

Just added a Magpul CTR Carbine Stock Mil-Spec. It's tighter then stock and feels better against the cheek.

    See you around the range.!!
