This. Plus, it takes so little it will be a while until I need something else.

Homebrew shop, Fresh Market, Mom's Market, Amazon, etc.
I already have citric acid and my wife has lemon essential oil. I didn't need to buy it at all. I paid $5 for a 12oz container. The cost of materials was $1 and much less if bought in bulk.
You guys make a valid point about how long the container will last, but I didn't realize how simple the formula was, and the stuff was already in my house.

I want to bulk buy worm blower bottles, fill them with Mobil 1 Synthetic and market it as "Liberal Tears Gun Lube" for $9.99 a bottle.

When I was making ammo by the thousands, I used a cement mixer to clean brass. A friend gave me a tip that I still use today. I use the Citrus cleaner sold at Home Depot cut 50/50 with water. I spray the brass, let it sit for five minutes and start up the tumbler (old type with corn cob and walnut shells). When they come out, they are all nice and shiny. ;)

I only started with Lemi Shine, because that's what I read on cast boolits over and over. I bought a three pack (12oz/ea) for ~$19. Using 0.17oz, per teaspoon by volume, 36oz / 0.17oz = 211 teaspoons. So, by this, my 3 pack should last about 4-5 years at one teaspoon per week going into the tumbler.

I have no idea how many teaspoons to use in a washer.

doesn't the lemmi shine soak into the walnut shell media? Does it work even if you don't keep adding it for each tumbled batch?

its not a racket. it's a consumer product that people can choose to purchase or not. In the 50s a lot of products came out that were merely combinations of 2 or more standard ingredients packaged together for " convenience".

Baking powder is baking soda and cream of tarter
Bisquick is flour and baking powder
Boxed cake mix is all the dry ingredients of a scratch cake.
Tumbling media is ground walnut shells.
Reptile pet bedding is ground walnut shells.

My grandmother used to make " pie crust starter" for my mother to use when grandma was not around. She'd combine a pound of shortening and flour in the correct proportions and put the dry result into a mason jar in the frige.

Does the lemon oil in Lemmishine have a cleaning purpose or does it just make it smell nice? If smell, you might be able to eliminate it.

A little off topic, but I use lemishine to clean my coffee machine. It works great and talk about highway robbery, look what they charge for coffee machine cleaner Lemi x 10
