I'm about to install a stainless barrel in a Savage 110 plain steel action. Is there a recommended lube for the threads?

I've done some research but I'm seeing conflicting opinions on which is correct.

    Thanks, Dutch

I have always used a touch of white lithium grease. Not critical as the threads aren't really stressed. I also don't put a lot of torque on the barrel nut. Just a bit over hand tight like putting on an oil filter. I haven't had one loosen on me and I do check the barrel nut for looseness when cleaning.

    A nice video
