google is your friend, I am not.
Perhaps I'm being too picky, but it just wasn't fun to shoot compared to my JR Carbine.

Not as much fun as an M2 Browning in .50 BMG set up at AGC on a Saturday, either. Shooting is fun. Shooting some guns is definitely more fun that others!

I recommend Kel-Tec Sub2000s to people because they are a practical, reasonably accurate, entry level, no HQL option under $500, that you can practice with at any indoor range. I never heard of people having problems with these so I just wondered if you had specific problems.

Gunbroker. New Gen 2, Glock 17 Sub2ks are running around $500 (after completion of bidding and not including shipping). New Gen 2, Glock 19 Sub2ks are less plentiful. Saw one in FDE go for $740 recently (not including shipping). The grip on the Glock 19 Sub 2k looks pretty small, so I'm not sure I would like one (despite owning an actual Glock 19).

I had a Gen 1 version with a G19 grip. The grip was VERY short. Shorter than on the actual G19. I had to use mags with a pinky extender to have any hope of getting my full hand on the grip of the Kel Tec. (But I do have XL hands, so that contributed to it). I sold it because I couldn't solve the occasional stovepipe issue.

I'm now considering a Gen 2 in the Glock 17 grip. I'm not aggressively looking though, so I doubt I'll ever find one haha. It's a toss-up between this and the CZ Scorpion Carbine. There's no question the CZ is a far superior gun, but the magazine commonality with Glocks is a very hard thing to pass up.

I guess I'll be on gunbroker today, 9mm suppressor stamp for Christmas... Hopefully so threaded barrel would nice. I'd hate putting my gen 1barrel in the mail for threading.

FWIW, I have a Gen2 G17 version and it also has a very short grip IMO...shorter than a G17 pistol's grip. I usually use the 33 round mags, so it's a non issue, but I always wondered why the rifle had, what feels like, a much shorter grip than the handgun that it shares mags with...

Here's a pictorial comparison of the Kel-Tec slim case for the Sub2000 and hardcase from Flambeau (17-inch pistol). I got the Kel-Tec case from Buds for about $30 incl shipping, and I got the Flambeau from Walmart for $13 with free shipping to any Walmart store.

Both have their advantages, but I like the Flambeau for extra protection to the gun (e.g. if stored in the trunk) and slightly more room for mags.

I use my ruger 10/22 takedown case for my sub 2k G17 FDE. It works pretty well. I can actually fit it in top on the 10/22 without hurting either.

Then, the pockets in front can hold 3 by 25 and 3 33rns freedom sticks.

    It's my go bag.

I carry mine in one of these two options. ...

    Love the Skinner Sights products.

Have their takedown cases on my want list (in addition to their rear peep sight for my Model 94 30/30). Got a nice rifle scabbard from them before.

Didn't know about their Sub2k case (or just didn't notice before because I didn't have a Sub2k). Looks well designed.

These are slick for sure, I would snatch one if I could find a gen 2 G17 under $500, although sorta redundant to the MPX

To give you guys a sense of how ridiculously compact this thing is when folded, see the pic below with the mostly used paper towel roll, 20 oz Ozark Trails tumbler, and 9.7 inch iPad case. The Sub2000 will fit in small backpacks with room to spare. It packs smaller than the Ruger 10/22 Takedown and is lighter.
