    Meh, I buy the $9 on sale models at Harbor Freight. They last two-three years. Only one was bad from the get go and they exchanged it without issue. You should have a 1 and 2 inch standard to check them with. For precision work on my mill, I use my Mitutoyo and Brown and Sharpe stuff. ;)
