Does it miff anybody even a little bit if you go through a transaction in the Classifieds and leave positive feedback only to have the other party never leave feedback for you?

Not the end of the world but feedback is important to the integrity of user's names in the Classifieds section.

Used to happen on eBay rather frequently. Always pissed me off too.

Used to upset me, but I came to realization there are much more important things to spend my energy on. It's their Karma, not mine and it will all balance out in the end.

I've had probably fifty transactions thru MDS classified. My feedback is around twenty and almost exclusively as a buyer. It doesn't keep me up at night.

I only had one bad experience and that was where I hit CTB and the seller, who I had to track down, said it was already sold to someone else. I did have a guy say he decided to keep it (which I believe was his way of backing out when he realized the hassle of shipping after originally agreeing). Him, I let off the hook. The CTB welsher got bad feedback for my one and only negative experience.

So, in summary, it doesn't bother me that much. My reputation is what it is. More feedback won't change it IMO.

I've done two dozen transactions on here and left feedback like twice hahaha. All were positive on my end but I did screw up a meet with Sasquatch (I think that's his username). Great guy and totally understanding of my screw up which I probably apologized 60 times.

I can't claim to be worried about it. I've bought/sold many times on here and get feedback roughly two thirds of the time. I always leave feedback, but I'm not going to lose sleep if someone forgets, doesn't know how, doesn't want to, etc.

Edit: Ha, I was right with 2/3. I went back and looked at my feedback. I've received 19 and given 30 (plus one for a transaction that fell through, the fault of another member). Nailed it!

Id venture to guess that alot of folks dont actually know how to leave feedback for a buyer/seller

Some of us are not too computer literate and can't figure out the process. I am one of the challenged ones.

I was trying to figure out how to leave feedback the other day and gave up. Had two good transactions in the last month or so but I thought it might be an option not available to a junior member or not enough posts yet.

Feedback challenged here too. I recently had multiple buyers from an ad, but I cannot figure out how to leave feedback unless I close the ad, and then I can't figure out how to give them all feedback individually.

Yes, this does bug me, however I understand that the feedback system on this site is not easy to use, especially for those who don't use the classifieds often

The whole process of posting for sale has your good, bad and lazy, No prices, prices that are crazy over the top, no pictures, no information, no location (ie item has to be pickup so where are you ? ). Feedback serves a number of functions it’s a Thank You to the Seller/Buyer for a good deal to fellow members of the MDS Forum or it can be a buyer/seller beware (Caveat Emptor/Caveat Venditor) for people who have issues.

I had a few transactions where I did not receive feedback, I chock it up to that person was

    1. Too dam busy to take a few minutes to leave a note. :sad20:
    2. The lack of computer literacy’s was the reason for not completing the process, time to learn.
    3. The person is a total A$$ showing me they wish to be seen as total douche bag.
    4. It slipped their mind or not sure how to do it, a short PM to the Seller/buyer may help to calms the waters ;)

If they posted feedbacks before 1,3,or 4 might apply then they are on my Poo list and will not deal with them again………….. Karma a Bitch.

This. Especially with multi item ads where there is not a commit to buyer or PM with info. It's a bit clunky.
