I am looking for a archery/crossbow range in Charles or very close to Charles/Calvert County. I want something with more distance than Myrtle Grove. I have a box target. I am shooting 365fps.

I thought I saw a sign for one on 231 near the bridge. Does anyone have info on that one. I could not find any via Google.

If you want to drive all the way up to PG County, there's the Adelphi Manor Archery Range. It's a public range. I think the distance from the parking lot to the target butts is about 150 yards, so you can shoot as far as that if you're crazy. It's only about a mile outside of the University of Maryland campus. It's usually empty on weekdays. On weekends, there are a few people there, but you can usually get a spot.

This may help... a listing of MD Archery Assn ranges, but check, some have rules in regards to xbows..

I have shot at EFA, SMB and MOB, all good clubs, not sure what their rules are on crossbows though, I shoot compounds..

I though the closed that range. I know exactly where it is. I remember seeing the targets from University Boulevard as a kid.

I belong to the 12th Precinct Pistol and Archery Club in Harwood in southern AA Co. We have a lighted outdoor archery range including a raised platform, an indoor archery range, and a fairly extensive 3D archery trail. There's a very active group of archers in the club and we have regular events and competitions.

I believe 3Js in Mechanicsville has a 40 yard range. My club has a nice archery range with targets out to 50 yds I believe. I've been meaning to get down there and shoot some if you want to go one weeknight (st. mary's county).

Is Cedarville State Forest to far away? They used to have an archery range, been many years ago, not sure if you could use a crossbow.
