Very nice! I aspire to build my own 1911 one day! Right now though anything past a field strip frightens me :( ...I did watch a few of the Wilson Combat videos where a master 1911 smith does a detailed take down and re-assembly, very interesting, some pretty small parts in there!

Well I like the idea... But, why did they not machine the rails and barrel seat and leave enough holes not drilled to make the eighty percent requirement? A jig to drill holes would be much more simple than having to cut the rails. I foresee some real shitty loose rail cuts which are a dangerous thing to mess with. Many who will undertake this project are just not going to do it properly. That translates to some dangerous firearms. Cutting a hole for a FCG on an AR is not as crucial as those rails. Cut the rails to deep and you may have a slide in the face on the first magazine.

I hope I'm wrong... But, I know how people fudge things. Therefore I have serious concerns about this.

From the pictures, the frame machining looks a bit rough.

Can see the semi-circle mill marks. Hope they don't ship looking like that.
