I tried searching MDS and couldn't find anything. Two questions:

    1. What paperwork does current Maryland law require me to create and keep (e.g.: bill of sale) if I were to sell a regulated firearm to another individual out of state. I fully understand that the sale must be handled by an FFL in the buyer's state.

    2. Any requirement on the federal level? I do NOT have a C&R.

Background: I recently sold a regulated firearm to a PA resident at an FFL in PA. This firearm was purchased by me in Maryland a couple years ago. At the time of the sale in PA, I was not given a receipt by the PA FFL. I created a bill of sale with the seller, so that's all I've got. If a licensing requirement is enacted on the state level, will I be forced to prove that I sold this firearm?

    Thanks

I believe you are required to keep a signed copy of the FFL that was used. Other than that, I don't think you're required to do anything else.
