New Shilen 26” stainless barrel and APA lil bastard break for the R700. 308 1/10 twist installed, threaded, cerakoted, and reciever trued by Scotts Gunsmithing. Had to get the folding stock adapter too as it would no longer fit in my drag bag lol.
I should be breaking it in tomorrow morning at Ft. Meade out to 600yds.

Had the it out to 500yds at Ft Meade today. Got to chronograph it, averaged 2,700fps. Not bad for the 308.

I saw that rifle at Ed s iI think. Very nice !!! I guess you did not get the nightforce that was on it . Let us know How does it shoots. It is very nice !!

Yep that's the one. No, I'll probably get hate mail, but for a heavy target gun I don't need the tough as nails scope.

    Hopefully lead development soon

Calling this a precision rifle is probably a stretch, but it's a start. Ruger American Predator, 22" barrel, 6.5 Grendel. Scope is a trashy Nikon Prostaff 3-9x I had lying around. Wish Magpul made a stock for this that took AR mags.

M5 bottom metal is AICS mags, right? If I was going to go that route, I'd buy the Magpul Hunter stock. I specifically need the AR mag support so I can share with my 6.5G AR build. Depending on how desperate I get, I might try 3D printing something (maybe with more magwell support for the mag) and then offload the design to Tromix or something.

Yes M 5 is AICS .. That stock is like $400 that’s cheap. You should post what you come up with . Your design the final stock . Sounds cool .

That's an XLR Industries 'Element'. I have the same chassis for my .260, but I'm going back to the heavy A5 - it suits my needs better.
