    I finally joined the site a few months ago. Belong to a few forums -- never have been one to post much. The MD CCW issue is getting on my nerves, though. A little about me -- I have worked for the military since 1979. It is really pretty much all I know. Retired from USAF in 2006. Went back as a (senior) GS employee in my old office in 2008. I work in Logistics Clearance is SEC and includes vault time. I do have over a half dozen employees under me including a couple with TS. I was affected by the OPM breech. Never felt the need to carry up until just a couple of years ago but too much going on now and safety is a big concern. I have had major back surgery and can't move like I used to and sport some fake disks and titanium hardware to hold it all together. I was denied a CCW for Md which was sustained on appeal, and will meet the board in Feb -- my record is spotless, not even a traffic ticket in 30 years now. I can carry all over the east coast but not in my home state. So.... lots of good info in the forums and just wanted to say hello.

    Don't feel alone on the permit denial, there's quite a few subjects here including myself who have been wrongfully denied their rights by our so called represenitives.
