Has anyone tried to SBR a Galil ACE GAP39-II? I am concerned about achieving the 29" OAL without permanently attaching a muzzle device. Hopefully IWI will respond to my request for the OAL to the end of the barrel threads.

Assuming the GAP-39 is about the same as the Galil ACE 31 minus the stock (and full-auto), you're ~1-1.5" short of 29" OAL. The most obvious way to fix this problem is to get the 7.62x51 version's extended buttpad, which should get you over the hump... but it'll be close.

Make sure to ask IWI about obtaining the buttstock assembly, too.

The IWI spec shows an OAL of 18", and I assume I will lose about 1-1/8" beyond the threads. If I can get a pig nose on the back, something like the VLTOR A5 Extended Tube and EMOD stock may make it.
