    Well, I have not gotten out this year, but I am thinking about taking off that Jan 5-7 weekend and hunt some public land out in Garrett Co. Maybe hike up into Savage River State Forest and rifle hunt. Anyone had success out there?

    Unfortunately you can only hunt region B for late rifle. You can hunt region A for bucks using a muzzle loader until 12/30 on public land with 12/30 being the only day to take a doe.
