    Well, it's gone.

Yeah....it was a nice revolver, and it shot just fine. Ran into a guy at the Raleigh Gun Show today who sold it to me two weeks ago. He had a Taurus .44 Magnum on his table......well, I have always wanted a .44, so I gave him my .357 and forty American dollars and came home with a Taurus Model 44, stainless .44 Magnum made in 2012.

As soon as I find a decent holster, I AM planning on carrying it.

4 inch ported barrel, large comfortable rubber grips.

I'm no stranger to .44 Magnum. Now, I have one of my own.

Now you're into horsepower and a truly versatile cartridge (for handloaders). The 44 Mag is my favorite cartridge...

I have already started pricing dies and such. I left the gun show in Raleigh this afternoon and hit Cabela's and a local sport shop on the way home. Cabela's had the better prices of the two places.

    Joe,

Once you start shooting and reloading 44 mag rounds, .357 will seem wimpy. .44's command attention at the range when they're fired - they aren't for the feint of hearts...

Cast boolits make reloading 44 mag a lot more economical. The Lee 240 gr mold makes nice boolits out of wheel weights. With gas checks, Alox lube and H110 or 2400 you'll impress yourself and all those shooting with you.

Now you need a big Dan Wesson with extra barrels or a Ruger with a 10" barrel to keep your new toy company!

Next time you get near Hooliganville - you have an open invitation to shoot the hand cannons!

I will definitely have to make a trip to Hooliganville after a trip to WV.

This is as far as I am going. As Dirty Harry himself said, "A good man has got to know his limitations."

I am honestly a little uneasy when it comes to the prospect of shooting a handgun that begins with a 5. I have small wrists and arthritis. :D
