9 hours of our site down and continuing botnet harassment says its not paranoia, they really are out to get us! With that in mind, new members, please do not take our suspicion personally. As we get to know each other, trust levels will rise, but, right now, we just got our noses rubbed in how much somebody doesn't like what we're doing.

I'm not sure, in the past the US Senate Democratic Retreat has been a closed event. Even when held in Cambridge, none of the State Dems were invited. Same for the retreats in VA a couple of years ago. Yes, it is possible that since it is in a state Capital, that they might have invited some to the meeting with POTUS. But since this is for the US Senate to make plans for the coming year, why would they invite state level politicians? I agree anything could be possible, just thinking out loud.

No this wasn''t aimed at you at all. It was just an observance that more than just I have observed. I apologize if you took it that way. But you will have to admit that with everything that has gone on the last 2 days you can understand why some of us that have been here awhile would be a little apprehensive when newer people make claims that are new to the rest of us. Especially right at THIS particular moment. I was actually thinking of a few other people to be honest with you. Again, sorry if you took it the wrong way.

Um, a Special Security Clearance to meet with POTUS or just a regular background check like they do with everyone else that shares a stage with POTUS?

I can guarantee you that none of the children or their parent that were in the White House during his Gun Control speech had to get a security clearance. At most they had to submit DOB, Place of birth, and SSN for a background check.

Feel free to ask me how I know all of the above.

If it was a Security Clearance, how long ago did they start it, as even a basic Secret security clearance takes six month to complete, and a Top Secret takes longer. Add in SCI or SBI or other higher requirements and the time line gets longer.

President Obama will promote his plan to battle gun violence on Monday in Minneapolis because that community is doing some of the things he wants to see nationally.

Keep an eye on what he does in Minnesota it could give incite to his trip here.

HF 237 - Pistols and semiautomatic military-style assault weapon transfer and firearm possession eligibility provisions modified, and criminal penalties provided.

HF 238 - Offenders who unlawfully possess firearms on school properties equal penalties established.

HF 241 - Assault weapons; crime established for manufacturing, transferring, or possessing assault weapons; existing assault weapon disposal or registration provided for; terms defined; data classified; language clarified; and penalties provided.

HF 243 - Large-capacity magazine crime established for the manufacture, transfer, or possession of ammunition feeding devices with the capacity to accept more than seven rounds or any conversion kit, part, or combination of parts; terms defined; and criminal penalties provided.

Just to be clear:
Adjudicated clearances don't take six months anymore. I've seen NACIs finish in less than 5 weeks, and SSBIs finish in under 6 weeks -- some SSBIs take just 30 days. It all depends on the person.

To most americans, having to sign anything about a background check means "security clearance" and it's really not. The term is so ambiguous that it really means nothing out of context. Typically, all it takes is your name and date of birth to get into a room with a dignitary or president.

Initially I was planning on going, Working a day shift that day.

Unlike the POTUS (or is that POS?), I make my schedules up a month or more in advance. Must be nice to be so flexible in your schedule. Little golf, little face time on the talk shows, vacation, speech,
more face time on the nighttime talk shows, little golf, vacation, fund-raiser, violate some civil rights, skeet shoot...

I think the photo on the right is bogus, myself. Low recoil or blank, even, judging from the position of his body/cheek weld/shoulder. Just doesn't look right somehow.

The picture on the left is authentic, however.

I need to sign up over there anyway I'll check it out for sure. I'm sure they are pissed I read the law that got rammed through on them. My head is still spinning from it and I don't even live there.
Now I see our own state trying to do the same thing to us! It makes me sick on my stomach that these politicians, these elected officials are standing on the graves of these kids to push a political agenda. What's worse is they forget that they are elected and that they do have a shelf life.
The problem is that we don't remind them of that enough by kicking them out. Frosh and all of his buddies need to go. But to be honest every single person that has spent more than 2 terms in office needs to go! The government used to be for the people by the people. Now its only just for the government and control of the people. There was a time when "WE" controlled them; but now they are trying to rule over us.
This is why the 6th is so important. We need to draw a line in concrete and stand fast. We need to show them that we will no longer be ruled over. WE sent them to Annapolis to do our bidding. NOT the other way around.
