    Hey, Southern Marylanders.
Was at the LaPlara Walmart Thursday
while in the area on an errand. Wandered
    over to sporting goods to
ogle the guns, while my wife took care of some real stuff.

    The salesman there, Eddie,
came over to offer his help. We had a great
conversation about Glocks and Sigs, 9mm
vs .45, the usefulness of pistol caliber carbines, gun laws and corporate gun sales policies.
Lemme tell you, he is one well-informed and
thoughtful man. It was a pleasure chatting
with him...and while the couple of rifles that
I might have bought are not carried by
Walmart (apparently they don’t do pistol caliber cabines - wanted to see a new Marlin .357 and the Ruger 9mm), I came away thinking that there’s a guy with whom I would like to do business.
I heartily recommend him to you....I know,
Walmart. But, but, but...with a front guy like
Eddie, I can overlook a lot to give him the
    sale.

Eddie huh? Hefty fellow, over 6ft tall, dark hair?
Sounds like the guy that works/worked at the Dicks in Waldorf.
Maybe he quit Dicks because of the AR-15 policy.

The description fits Eddie of several years tenure @ Dick's of Waldorf gun counter ( and a good guy as described) . IF he is at Wal Mart , that would be a very recent change.

This is refreshing to hear. You should figure out what his name is (for sure ;) ) and let Wal-Mart know what a great employee he is, and that he makes you want to buy guns from them.

soon to get the guy’s name for sure and to
Do what Art3 suggested back in Post #9.

    OK, folks.
    Confession time.
    I messed up.
    It was NOT Walmart.
We had gone from there (the wife bought
a bike) to Dick’s so she could get some
    golf stuff.
    While she was comparing prices
on golf balls and color coordinating her tees,
I wandered over to the gun counter. THAT is
    where I met Eddie.
    So, mea culpa.
And, despite the fact that I confused the
stores, Eddie was a joy to talk with.

Yup...if he had his own place and still
conducted himself that way, I would
be a loyal customer, even though he is
near an hour away. No doubt, some of our
current IP’s are every bit as good.
