    Was cruising Youtube tonight and saw the preview for a new movie: The Highwaymen. Always thought Frank Hamer's life experiences would make for a fantastic movie and we get a piece of it in this movie. Kevin Costner plays Hamer in the search for Clyde Barrow. Saw a Colt Monitor and also a Winchester 1907 w. extended police magazine so there's hope the story and hardware are somewhat accurate. The real life story is so good it doesn't need tarting up. Let's hope that's that case.

A very private man, Hamer refused to discuss the shoot out afterwards so who knows for sure. But Remington knew a good thing when they saw it and gifted a newer engraved Model 81 to Frank with an extended police magazine. Something that he treasured.
