Senate Bill 16, complete AWB

https://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/leg...1+ful+SB16+pdf

well here it is, pretty much will ban all AR's including parts.

it's a little too late to vote, but contact EVERY govt official you can letting them know this violates both the US Constitution as well as the Commonwealth's Constitution regarding RKBA.

I'd rather they just ban them in all 50 states instead of going one by one. It would get more unity from 2a supporters this way. One by one works to their favor.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

This POS bill includes semi-automatic pistols and shotguns. These Dems are nuts. At least the number of sanctuary counties is increasing. Sure to be many suits against the bill if it passes. fred55

Read the bottom of the bill. It's illegal to possess an "assault weapon". I guess they aren't even going to grandfather anything. That gets out, I sure hope there are protests.

No ex post facto law ...what was once legal cannot be made illegal.

You mean like bump-stocks They've already proven they can do this and pass legal muster. I fully agree with your sentiment, but they aren't going to call it ex post facto. They are going to make a date in the future when all will be banned.

That's pretty optimistic thinking. It will pass. The dims control the whole government because people like ToolAA's client who said something along the lines that he's not worried (I read that as not voting) because even if the dims win they aren't like the MD dims. Well, guess what? He's right, they're worse.

Getting closer to when protests aren't going to cut it. There needs to be mass non-compliance and an armed march on Richmond (otherwise legal-like as the actual guns will be illegal at that point) and see what happens. Depending on their reaction perhaps the parched Liberty Tree will get a drink.

Do they have a definition of an "assault weapon" in their bill?
