    The original models are. The newer versions are not or I'm in deep sh**.
    The Galeo appears externally like the original model. Banned.

    Sounds promising (about being decent, not the banned part). The Golanis by Century Arms were a fully involved dumpster fire.

    Is external appearance sufficient reason to ban?

    To say it another way, what is the level of part incompatibility that permits legal purchase?

    The original Galil was a regulated, now banned, long gun. It's no bueno in Maryland. The Galil ACE is fine, no part interchange with the original Galil. The ATI Galeo is a copy of the original Galil, so that is banned as well.
