No luck here either. Had a lot of gobblers at first light but they shut up as soon as they flew down(as expected). The farm I hunted today has tons of turkey on it...tons of very educated turkey I should have said. I have never killed a tom on this farm, though once I passed up on a jake I called in. I may try again next week if the weather ever improves.

Knocked this one down, had a 10 3/4 inch beard and 1 5/16 spurs. My buddy got his friend too.

I watched an episode of Meateater where he deep fried a couple of turkey breasts and prepared them German Shnictzle-style (SP?).

    You guys ever try that?

A dove hunter buys three or four boxes of shells and that will keep him for the morning. A turkey hunter buys one box of shells and passes the remainder on in his will.

Some guy's friend, yesterday, got shot in the face and chest {I don't know what state}. They say he is going to recover. {Information received from a member who posted a thread over at OldGobbler forum yesterday. He was walking out of the woods on private land --- And one person, in a group of three...shot him at 30 yards.

Here's the other breast off my bird. I made Turkey Francese with a lemon caper sauce, Scalloped potatoes and a Pinot Grigio from a clients vineyard in St. Michaels seemed only fitting.
