Anybody have a 9mm barrel lock that I can borrow in about 2 weeks? I live near Frederick but my construction work has me traveling a little bit into other parts of MD. Thanks.

Just ordered a custom CZ-82 from Brian @ Easton Firearms http://eastonfirearmsrefinishing.com/ that he is shipping to an FFL when complete as I await ruling on my C&R. What lock will I need to take this home, the CZ-82 is chambered in 9x18 Makarov, would a .380 bore lock do the trick? Are bore locks necessary on C&R items?

    Thanks for your insight.

If you expect your C&R soon, it mat be easier to have them hold onto it for you for a couple weeks than ship direct to your home. No issue.

    Otherwise, the law says...

    B. Except as provided under Public Safety Article, §5-132(c)(1), Annotated Code of Maryland, a dealer may not sell, offer for sale, rent, or transfer in the State any handgun manufactured on or before December 31, 2002, unless the handgun is sold, offered for sale, rented, or transferred with an external safety lock.

Had this mad plan back around 1999 when VCDL.org was struggling to bring attention to Maryland's crime rate and inequitable concealed carry permitting system.

We were going to collect gun locks to have them melted down and turned into a gun we'd then raffle off.

We got several five gallon bucket loads of them at Takoma Park's fall festival and a LOT of media attention (news 9, IIRC), then the deal we had with the forge up in Bethlehem fell through. Something about TONNAGE to make the correct grade of steel and the cost was insane.

But it drew people's attention to the thought that when seconds count, and your gun is locked, your life is in danger.
