    For one you can save $200 and use that for ammo, second you can travel state to state without the hassle of getting permission from the atf. I came here looking for answers that apparently no one knows the clear cut answer to, which is shocking because some of you act like you know everything.
    Lol. Ok, you got me there. That's why I asked. I come here to learn too. FWIW, slip a stock off a carbine and you have a pistol. As long as you don't bring the stock with you across state lines, it is only a pistol. I would not put a VFG on a "firearm" with a brace on it. You're fishing for trouble. If you know your itinerary, i believe a form 20 is good for a year?
