Anyone here on MDS attend tonight's new prospective member meeting? They had about 83 people try to join with 40 openings. I was able to make the cut.

New for this year, anyone that did not get in goes to top of list next year.

I got lucky this year. 3rd year trying.

George, it was great to finally meet you in person and my offer still holds. Once I go through the process, I will make good on it. i still have the pic.

I'm a long time Stoney Creek Member and live much close to SCFH Club anyway. However, I have been to a number of events at BCFG as well as known a number of members there. I've always had the impression it was a very good club. Congrats on getting in!

Didn't hear anything about it....shame...been shooting trap there sporadically for 15 years.

I haven't been there since before the accident last November.

Still not ready, but can't wait to go back when I'm able. Hopefully in the next couple months.

I had planned on trying to join this year.

Got rear-ended in back in November. Six grand damage to my truck, and totaled the Durango that hit me. Ended up with whiplash and a concussion.

Did PT at Hopkins. Now seeing a Chiropractor, and the neck and headaches are getting better. Still have the ringing in my ears. (May be permanent.)

I went to Elk Neck about a month ago. It went" okay". But I "felt it" later. Definitely not ready for a trap with a 12 GA yet.

I have tried thee times, unfortunately my sponsor moved to WV so I had no one to sponsor me this year. If someone will sponsor me, I will gladly serve their service hours as well as my own.

Did they expand the membership base or did a lot of members quit last year?

I've never heard of a year where they had 40 spots available.

I've tried to get in a few times, I live about 300 yards from the range. after 3 years of trying just gave up and joined Delta

If you are still interested in joining I would try again next year. If anything you have a spot reserved. I believe there were 43 left over from this year and if only 43 spots are available next year they get first shot at joining.

I was lucky, I found a sponsor which is the hard part the rest is luck getting your number pulled my 1st year trying I got in great place to shoot nice folks, if you didn't get in keep trying.

I just moved into the area, and I gotta look into this for next year. At least to get on the list. Beats driving out to Hap. Can't believe I didn't know about this place!

You may also want to look at the facilites at the Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore in Marriottsville.

I used to live in Essex and joined the AGC many years ago. Never regretted it.

There are 29 clubs that call the AGC home and I am sure you will find one that suits your shooting needs!

hap vs agc for me is that the drive to hap is easier, albeit the same length. maybe I will look into agc again though.
