Yeah man. They had a pretty good size box full of them at the door. I thought it was strange too.

Maybe they saw that Jean Claude Van Damme movie where the bad guys rappel down into the hockey game.

Idiots. I'd be more worried about a newspaper than a carabiner. Google "Millwall Brick."

Ive found that very few places directly grab behind your zipper or want to wait around for you to undo your belt. Carry a cheap and lightweight knife clipped to your underoos through security and you can always adjust where you want to carry at a bathroom later. Ive also found it strangely easy to just put your knife in your wallet. When they're wanding you, they never look at your wallet in your hand for some reason.

Well I went with the pepper spray. I tossed it into the bin with my wallet and phone and either they didn’t notice or didn’t care.

Nicely done. They probably see enough people that they're conditioned to think "people won't put a prohibited item in the inspection bin."

    I just did, wow.

Thought the Compost was only good for starting fires in my wood stove.

Add some tape and a crushed can or rock, etc. = Millwall Tomahawk.

Sorry I'm late to the party, but yeah, they denied me access with a cheap small Kershaw blade - thankfully not a Benchmade. They do metal detectors there, and don't play. I quickly ran out - annoying my wife - and stashed it in a planter, and surprisingly it was there after the show.

As for defensive weapons there, some disagree with this tactic, but I still train to do the whole "keyed fist" thing. HTH --JB

So, since pepper spray and teasers/stun guns can now be carried legally in Maryland (correct me if I'm wrong) dos that mean they are OK, since they don't seem to be considered a concealed weapon?

Their ad was pretty clear, "We are like an Airport"...

You couldn't bring any of the items you mentioned to an Airport...

If you carry any of it, you will most likely be turned away...

Places where I cant carry a knife, I wear my Lenwood Blunt Force Trauma (BFT) belt. HERE

When you post a topic here, you never know what advice you are going to get. I didn’t know about this company of their products. Now I know. Thanks.

I think I will be investing in one of these.

I have a "Tactical" pen that I will carry if I can't have any other weapons. 99% of the security guards don't know what it is as it looks like a pen. Chris

Still going to go with a hard pass on the key-fist thing. I'd like anyone who promotes this to film themselves putting their keys between their fingers and punching a heavy-bag a couple times, then post it up to youtube. I think you'll find that both the keys and your hand will be severely jacked up.

You're also not really making your punches any more effective. It's similar to striking with those crenulated bezels on flashlights....it causes superficial cuts to skin, but doesn't do anything meaningful. It will help co-mingle a dirty-criminal's blood with your blood(open cuts on your hands from the keys) though.

I also hope you don't need the keys you choose in a hurry to get out of there. If you've got your car-key between your fingers, looks like you're not driving away from danger anytime soon.

If you're looking to go for the eyes... you don't need keys for that.

Don't quote me but I am 80% sure I remember rams head having metal detectors. They will make you take it off. I had my fixed blade at the Fillmore and they made me walk back to my car. Most of the big venues will pat you down, but Soundstage didn't the last time I went.

    2 1/2 knife

You will definitely be kicked out! Although your reason is good. Baltimore is a shit hole. Last time I went to a concert there, we were jumped by 12 guys who tried to rob us! I live close to Baltimore and have so many crazy things happen I refuse to go there. A 2 1/2 inch knife will not make a difference because people are rat packed by groups now. So unless you can beat at least 5 people with that knife, you are only asking for trouble. Take my advice, leave the concert a few minutes early.....yes I know it sucks. But you will avoid the harassment. If you really feel you need that find a nearby land mark, aka...(garbage can) close to the entrance and stash it there. It may, if your lucky be there when you get out.
