Disappointing Hogan the Best Option in Anti-Gun Maryland

Quote:
Look, there is no denying that Larry Hogan has disappointed Second Amendment supporters big time. But, there is also an important lesson that can be taken from Maryland: Itís not enough to have the governorís mansion. Hereís the dirty little secret: Down-ballot races matter. The outcomes of state legislative races can strengthen or weaken a governorís hand. If the votes were there to uphold a veto, Hogan may well have been able to stand up, rather than decide to exercise the better part of valor.

Hogan's hand is limp-wristed, and his back is spineless. I don't want to vote for him. I have not decided if I will or will not.

Sadly, be not holding your nose and voting for Lawn Chair Larry who folds at most of the left's demands, you are assuring destruction with Ben Jealous.

Hogan +6 on election day.

Carry permits for all by Christmas.

And no state tax on firearm and ammo purchases.

I'll vote for Hogan. I don't want to, but I will. He's no friend to Maryland gun owners, but neither is he even remotely the socialist and dangerous POS that Jealous is.

Yeah, the whole "a vote for someone else not Hogan is a vote for Jealous" does seem to be operable here.

However, I have a big problem with Hogan. My view of him changed dramatically this year after he photo-op'd with the "common sense gun safety" crowd. How many more such photo-ops like that will he have in store for us?

I am conflicted. I may pinch my nose and pull the lever for Hogan, but the stench is too much right now.

This. Think about how stupid Bernie voters feel in swing states after they refused to hold their nose and vote Clinton.

I get you for sure. I actually talked to him face to face in the parking lot of Costco, he was sitting in his bus when he first began is run for gov. I SPECIALLY asked him how he would deal with the gun grabbing left and the slow but steady erosion of our rights in Maryland. He bluntly said the governor has veto power and he would not be afraid to use it, but we should try to find a way to work together first. Ha the laughs on me. Now i have to vote for him again.
