Severna Park high was rebuilt a few years ago, want to say completed in 2016 or 2017. That cost $130 million and was a new rebuild. Most likely will cost more than that. Parking lots, sports fields, roads etc. I wouldn’t be surprised if by completion $150- 200 million.

There was additional cost to that. The athletic fields at Kinder farm park were installed for benefit of SPHS during the rebuild.

They will either have to use those for OM or build somewhere else to cover the interim for the New OM and middle schools.

Well, we live in the area, 5 minutes away. Tend to agree with most of the thread, yep lots of Money for sure. Traffic will be a nightmare all along New Cut Road, especially for those who now live in the 3 or 4 new housing developments, along with those who have been there for over 35 years when it was mostly farms and woods. Grover Road, which intersects with New Cut, running parallel with I97 along PJ's Farm, has 2 fairlly new housing developments, along with one that has been there for some time. Grover Road also leads to County Police SWAT(?) and Service areas.
Morning rush hours, afternoon rush hours have made New Cut road a hazard area. And it's only going to get worse. Not to mention the Senior HS students who are pulling out on New Cut at schools end hell bent for election..add another HS, and commuters all jockeying for a place on New Cut..Geeezzz. Time to bail out of this area. Looks like maybe 5 years or so before new HS is ready, if then. What a mess....
