This girl(?) was laying on the side of MD97 today just north of Brookeville in Montgomery County. It is along the Camp Bennet property next to the corn field.

My size 11 flip flop is in the photo so you can see the size comparison. I've only seen one coyote for sure, and that was in Alaska, and the one I saw there looked like this but bigger. The color and long legs makes me think this was a coyote.

What say y'all? Is this a coyote or just a fox? I have heard all about how coyotes are in every county, but never seen proof.

Ima go with coyote as well. Summer coat makes it look close to orange. I got one on game camera from northern Balto near prettyboy that looks like a fox because of its summer coat.

Yup, looks like a cayote to me. We have a number of them in the Laytonsville area and up towards Damascus.
