Hello! I'm a new owner in Columbia, I've always been interested in firearms, but never actually bit the bullet until now. I've been lurking on this site for months trying to wrap my head around regulations and this site has been great for my education.

I ended up building an AR-15, I seem to have an affinity for big bore, so it's chambered in .458 SOCOM..... I've been told I should of just bought one first before building, but I honestly had more fun building it out and I was thinking of just building another lower and a few more uppers (in different calibers) for fun (Actually looking at an AR-10 probably for my next build). I need to call some ranges to find out if I can shoot it at their ranges, I've been reading range rules for various ranges and I'm still unsure. If I end up shooting this more than I think, I will probably start looking into reloading to save money.

I have yet to fire it, but I should have ammo arriving this week.

You can shoot at AGC. As long as it's not tracer rounds you can shoot anything there. Including machine guns.

I always like to say, "caliber .45 is the best way to say GO AWAY".

Warm welcome from Annapolis. Coincidentally, I was taken to The Machine Gun Nest as a guest earlier this week. Very impressive! Excellent facility and very friendly and professional staff. I sure wish it wasn't 70 miles away.
