I have some regulated firearms that I registered when I moved into Maryland (MSP registration). I am trying to know what to do when I move OUT of Maryland to another state? Leave all in the MSP database or is there an option to delete? There awere not clear instructions when I looked on registering unless one moves from A to B within Maryland. I’ve not returned to the site recently, but this forum has member insight. Thanks!

There is no way to remove firearms from the MSP files. If you’re leaving the state, it doesn’t make any difference anyway.

To add on to what RB said... Depends on what state you're moving to if you have to register them in the new state. My guess is you're moving to a more conservative state with less gun laws so you have nothing to worry about. Check the state laws just to be sure.

On a side note when you do move make sure you contact MD board of elections and cancel your voter registration or else someone can vote in your name.

Thank you for posting. We're leaving this Saturday and would've never thought to do this. I'll add that to the list of things to do.
