i didn't consider OC. that would be legal as well.
handguns.us says must be "plainly visible" for in vehicle open carry. I'd suggest being careful if you do this without a permit. Not everyone defines plainly visible the same way.

UT requires a specific course. FL accepts Hunter Safety or an NRA basic pistol course.
FL does not recognize non resident permits so if you intend to carry in FL, you must have a FL permit.
The FL permit is good for 7 years. UT is 5. do the math to amortize costs.
Fingerprints for FL must be done at a LE agency. UT has no such requirement

    Decisions, decisions

Does FL accept a TX Online Hunter Safety Course?

I only ask because my Wife wants a FL Permit and we are looking at options.

    Seems like it would

The other good thing is hunter safety is the only training exempt from the live fire requirement, so an on line course would work.

    FL Statute 790.06

Huh. NH is now recognized more places than it was a few years ago . I'll have to mentally upgrade it from a third Permit to leading candidate for Second Permit. ( Require, I had one prior to the Kane inspired revisions. In the interm I've been OC in Pa , but have been running single too long, and need a Second again.)

Why would you not be able to open carry in your vehicle while traveling through Delaware? Seems to me you could do so without a permit except in the town of Dover. I don't think you need FOPA for Delaware, however IANAL and I already have permits that work in DE.

My understanding for Open Carry in a Vehicle in DE without a valid permit the handgun must be holstered on the dash or passenger seat, otherwise it is considered concealed.

This was taught in my DE CDW class.

Dover, DE no longer makes a difference. They have removed the requirement for "town permission".

5 years or 7 years unless they both cost $50 to renew
