The HQL resulted in hundreds of more deaths per year after its passage. If we want to save one more life, perhaps hundreds of more lives, shouldn't we also stop the LGQL? The point is saving lives, right?

Yup, but they're usually afraid to admit it in clear and certain terms and him doing so seemed noteworthy to me.
