I finally shot my SMLE and K31 this morning up at Hap Baker. Both functioned nicely, but I was really blown away by the K31. The sights are dead-on with no adjustment, and man is that a slick action! Despite my sub-par shooting skill, this thing's a friggin laser beam. (And it's not even on a shark's head) I actually managed to get three rounds all touching at 100 yards! No repeat performance, but I did it once... I'm not good enough to really test this rifle. The SMLE ('20 Lithgow) did well also, but it needs the front sight nudged a tad as it was shooting low-right. Also the ammo I have is '52 Kynoch, so that might be a factor as well, I dunno. I could barely get on paper at 100, but it grouped fairly well at 50 when holding high-left. Also a pretty slick action, I like the 60 deg. turn and cock-on-close.

All in all, it was a great way to spend a morning bruising my left shoulder! Now when the hell is this CMP M1 gonna get here....:D

If you don't mind me asking, where did you buy the K31?
I've been thinking about ordering one and was wondering best place.

You used to see Swedish Mausers dominating C&R matches but now the K31 is making a serious run at it. I've been mulling over opening the wallet for a Swiss Products diopter sight for my range K31. I've found that with the right combination front insert and rear aperture I can do just as well at 100 yds, which is about all the farther my old eyes can handle anyway.
