I ran across this while looking at Pexto sheet metal machinery on Ebay. I never saw an axe of this type and the tool hoarder in me had to have it. The blade is in great shape with no nicks at all. It is almost too nice to use.

I spent many hours using the one we have hanging in the tool shed. My brother and I spent many a weekend grubbing out a couple acres of overgrown woods for our Grandfather 40 yrs ago. Now there are gas powered hedge clippers with 6' handles and pole saws that'll extend out 10 or 12 ft that do that kind of work faster and easier.

A bush axe is sometimes a more useful tool for clearing a path, especially when you have to walk in far or where an errant spark could cause a fire. You don’t have to continually stoop or bend over to knock small branch’s out of your way or risk a more severe injury vs power equipment.
We still carry them on digger trucks.
