It's a Russian refurb with a non-matching receiver cover, so I don't know what year or arsenal... My best guess is about '52 just going off of a couple of SKS sites I've found, but who knows. It's missing a bayonet, cleaning rod, and magazine housing but other than that, it seems to be in excellent "shooter" shape. The bore looks great and the action, although filthy, seems to be in good order. I've got a mag housing coming, a tentative deal on a bayonet, but still need a cleaning rod and sling.
I've got a Chinese that was apparently unfired before I got it, but I would feel guilty about shooting that one regularly. I've been wanting a beater ever since!
