    That's legally irrelevant and immaterial.

Yeah, don't threaten an unruly mob with a fake firearm of a scary-looking pop-tart. Lawmakers know best; MD GA is an example of the superiority of Progressives in large groups taking charge.

Speaking of legally irrelevant, does Frosh's office still have a bunch of "volunteer" attorneys who were donated and paid by Bloomberg? Asking for a friend.

There are still more points to be made to a free America , like you will comply or we will charge you . This is not over IMHO . I wonder why this couple would still support a liberal/progressive culture or if they have seen the light . A person with less money would have gone to jail for the night to teach them a lesson . Having money has helped them stay out of jail . IMHO

The bicycle pant liberals are a huge problem , they want only what is good for them they are selfish .

This is exactly why officials using their positions to persecute people they disagree with under color of law need to lose their qualified immunity, face criminal charges AND be held liable for their actions in civil court. The penis of justice needs to be rammed up their collective (collectivist) asses.

Now...according to this report https://twitchy.com/brettt-3136/2020/07/21/this-is-bizarre-patricia-mccloskeys-gun-was-inoperable-when-police-seized-it-but-firearms-experts-reassembled-it-to-make-it-lethal/...the DA's office that charged the couple has put the pistol Mrs. McCloskey brandished which was inoperable back into commission and is using it as evidence against her. They readily admitted it was inoperable...WTF is wrong here?

If this is an accurate report the DA should be removed from office along with anyone who assisted in this political hit job and scam.

This is government run amok and is crushing individual rights simply to please the leftist crowd. At least the state's Attorney General is working to get charges dismissed...the DA is is trying to stay ahead of it...and hopefully will fail. The precedent this could set is potentially extremely dangerous should she get away with it.

One lawyer's take on these charges and how they probably are not constitutional. He goes as far to say that laws against displaying a weapon probably violate 2nd and 5th amendments.

Maybe this is why the AG is dropping charges so that their law isn't tossed out on constitutional grounds.

We don't need to watch a lawyer tell us they are probably not constitutional.

It's simple. There's no "probably" about it. They aren't.

No. The St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner filed charges. The Missouri state AG wants them dismissed. The Missouri State Governor has stated he will issue a pardon if it goes to trial.

    Furthermore:

    https://www.zerohedge.com/political...perable-prop-so-prosecutors-office-ordered-it

"In Missouri, police and prosecutors must prove that a weapon is “readily” capable of lethal use when it is used in the type of crime with which the McCloskeys have been charged.

Assistant Circuit Attorney Chris Hinckley ordered crime lab staff members to field strip the handgun and found it had been assembled incorrectly. Specifically, the firing pin spring was put in front of the firing pin, which was backward, and made the gun incapable of firing, according to documents obtained by 5 On Your Side.

Firearms experts then put the gun back together in the correct order and test-fired it, finding that it worked, according to the documents."

So the prosecution was tampering with evidence?

    ...

This isn't always true. For example, the CZ-50 / CZ-70 competition firing pin upgrade requires a spring in front of the firing pin.

    Irrelevant.

This particular firearm was assembled in an inoperable condition. The crime lab noted this, and altered the configuration to make it operable ... no doubt to allow Circuit Attorney Gardner to make the claim that it is a fully-functional firearm (at least that it is *now.*)
