    Ok,
So yesterday I finally got in my Tapco armorer's wrench. So I went downstairs and did two things. First, I finally got my VG6 Gamma mounted. Secondly, I thought I'd "do it right" and torque the castle nut to 40 ft/lb. Well I got the Tapco mounted on my torque wrench and went to it. Never got it to 40, but when I released the wrench "slipped" a little and dinged up the teeth/recesses of the castle nut pretty good :mad54:. Never had this happen before. Is it possible the nut is too soft? Or, did I just fudge it up?

The wrench likely slipped out of the teeth. You have to keep constant pressure on the wrench to prevent it from slipping out of anganagemt with the castle nut. It's a very common mistake. If I saved all of the manhled castle nuts over the years I could have probably filled several 5 gallon paint buckets.

The tapco wrench is one of the best Multi Use AR Wrenches made (yes, it's better then the magpul).

Ok. It's not too chewed up. I don't think I'll worry about snagging it on anything due to my HDLS lifesyle :innocent0

That being said, your recommendation is why I bought it. It is a great tool...No homo.
