    Hello All,

Leaving my current position and my employer wanted to know if there was anyone I would recommend.

Position is based out of the Arundel Mills area, with somewhat frequent travel around Baltimore area (at least 2 days/month, more if there are issues). Paid training in Richmond, VA (usually ~3 weeks). Job is in a medical setting. Position is 70% Help Desk, 30% desk side support. Customer service is very important. Heavy lifting is required (10-75lbs). On call and overtime required. They are looking for someone with 2+ years of Help Desk/Troubleshooting/Basic Network experience. A couple of neat benefits with the job. Mon-Fri 40hrs.

Send me a PM for more info or if you are interested.

My son is graduating next month. Too bad they are looking for that 2 years of experience.

Career change, pursuing a new passion.

Support gets really old, and must be HORRIBLE now that we have the entitled generation among us.....

Honestly I have some exec customers that couldn't even dock their laptops correctly.

Then they would scream at me that the company was losing "millions" of dollars because they couldn't check their email.

Support is OK for a bit, but I applaud you for trying something else.

I have been on the front lines of IT for about 7 years now. Been with school systems and with this company. Nothing wrong with the jobs, but IT is a world of “find a speciality or get stuck in support”.

After obtaining a few CompTIA certifications, I learned that this really isn’t the field for me. I’m good at what I do, and always put 100% into what I’m doing. A desk job just isn’t me. I found a new job (thanks to another member here) that will get me out in the field and build upon the knowledge I have gained over the last 7 years. Very excited about it. So if anyone is interested in a support job, just let me know. I will get it to the right people.

Thanks for the kind words bkuether!
