    Wouldn't it be funny if they proposed and somehow passed a law that says 80% firearms are now banned so the industry just adjusts and makes a 79% blank receiver. It would be virtually impossible to enforce the outlawing the manufacture of firearms. As people have said, you can make a firearm with simple things bought from Lowes or Home Depot.

    They might try and pass a network of laws such that only licenses SOTs can make firearms :sad20:

    The same idiots banned 190 proof alcohol "for the children" so now Marylanders are stuck with 189 proof alcohol.

    I would not be so quick to dismiss this bill. These folks are trying to create an opening to get control over not just guns, but gun parts. It would really suck if you would need to go through a background check and wait 7 days for a new barrel or spring for your 1911.

    The fact that a MD representative is co-author means this will probably also come up in the general assembly sooner than later.

    Luckily such infringements are easily ignored and unenforceable.
