I heard back from Kathy Szeliga and Deb Rey and both are very grateful to us for organizing a tribute on short notice, when the members of the MGA, says Kathy, have been so dazed by the shock of this sudden loss.

Rack, if you happen to hear from Deb, I have the unused candles she brought tonight. Even if it was only a few bucks out of her pocket, I was trying to get those back to her.

The value of last night's event is incalculable in relation of the perception of the PP by members of the MGA. By being so all inclusive, I don't think the PP is viewed as a group of 2A nuts any longer, even by our opposition.
Kudos to all who attended and special recognition to the PP leadership.

Good turn out last night. Thanks to all that were able to show up on short notice. These are the kind of events that demonstrate to our representatives that the PP is unlike the rabid shrieking antis we often oppose. Honest and thoughtful individuals that come together as a group to support what is right and good about this Country.

I was in line for a beef sandwich with Mr Norman. I thanked him for the work he did. He will be missed. I believe a young man named Jason Gallion has been picked his replacement on the ballot. I know Jason well and he will carry on the fight.
Thank you again, Derek and Jessie! I’m sorry things were so hectic that we couldn’t chat a bit, but you both contributed so much to our effort to honor a great public servant!
We look forward to have you both join us again during this very dynamic time if the year.

Excellent point. Astroturfers don't get paid for events like these. As R&R noted in this thread or a related one, it was much like the solemn event you guys held for the victims of the Orlando nightclub attack. It drives home a point about values.

Senator Norman was a wonderful man, who had a passion to serve the citizens of Maryland. We will all miss him.
