RINO Republicans in VA are already looking for a way to sell us out to keep their seats in Williamsburg and Virginia Beach:

disagree. And keeping their seats is hardly irrelevant. The state of virginia is blue in all statewide offices (Gov., Lt. Gov., AG, both US senators.

Having a GOP minority in the state legislature means 10 round mag limits, an assault rifle ban, and shall issue converted to may issue in fairly short order. You can have all the marches and letter writing campaigns you want, it wont change that.

The needs of the GOP legislators in purple districts are not irrelevant unless you just want to have total Dem control, and massive losses of gun rights that make the current Northam proposals look like nothing.

Northam was working in a deeply and totally coordinated effort with Bloomberg to force a recorded vote. It had nothing to do with Red districts but with purple districts currently held by Republicans that the other side is looking to take.

Luckily Northam was thwarted on the recorded vote issue.

And a GOP assembly or state senate office holder offering up something they know is too late to be procedural considered and wont have votes on either side anyway, is smart in that it helps him/her defend the seat from democrats without actually harming 2A rights at all.

There are Democrats in purple jurisdictions who supported reciprocity only because they knew it would not pass so that they can make the claim to supporting 2A. this is normal in politics
