ELots of members refusing to support moderate Republicans in purple districts because they were not conservative enough. Lot sof "shall not be infringed" yammring and very little money or volunteering in the tight races That was self destructive. The Dems will now control the assembly for the new post census redistricting and bring their advantage up even higher and make it permanent.

    Likely this.

This is what you get when you don't vote because the Republican candidate is not "just right for me", or vote for a third party loser.

I have no respect for those in VA that sat by and let this happen. The Governor has a yearbook picture with black face and the Lt. Governor a rapist, and this is the best you can do?

Virginia, I have no sympathy for you.

This is/was such a huge problem in VA which I think Democrats did an excellent job of exploiting.

This has been coming for better than 20 years. The explosion of the urban centers, formerly rural areas becoming heavily built up, transplants from the DC area running from the consequences of their decision making to new territory to ruin.

Hardly something that happened in the last 3.5 years.

I agree completely. I work in DC most of the week and have for a long time. And I spend a decent amount of time in northern VA. It's very...Marylandish. Northern Virginia has been going that way since I've worked in that area. But I'm scared that Trump has given that process a violent shove forward in Virginia and other states where there are a lot of swing voters.

I guess we will find out shortly, and I pray that you guys can say "hey d*ckhead, you were wrong."

The writing has been on the wall in Virginia. Same problem as Maryland. The DC counties control the state. Especially after the last redistricting map was approved by federal judges last January. Just glad we bypassed Virginia when we escaped Maryland.

This is all you need to know about what they are going to do with their new found power. This was taken at the VA Dem victory party.

So much for moving to Virginia when I retire. Coastal Carolina is looking better each day.

You can run but cannot hide.

What makes states good to migrate to also brings a lot of limousine liberal knowbetters. Carolinas and Florida are attracting a lot of New Yorkers.

You need to fight them where they live.

I wonder if they will ban open carry and go from shall-issue to may-issue.

I'm thinking now may be a good time to apply for a non-res VA permit.

BS. VA is at a demographic tipping point. The levee has broken and the amount of "outside" money being invested in VA elections (even local elections) is astronomical.

Exactly. More bloomberg money per capita than any other state.

From Jennifer Wexton's victory to yesterday's election, Michael Bloomberg and his hench-orgs' massive spending has been incrementally eroding the elected-representative base. Spending in other States has been equally large - $9M in California to support two candidates: Rouda and Hill.

One man is seriously distorting the Republic (and it ain't President Trump.)

The education system is breeding these folks that vote(s) I now wonder if this says something more about the direction of the Presidential election .

One thing can be said about them is they are like the Taliban they will slowly creep in and take over an area .

Unlike MD, VA constitution guarantees the right to keep and bear arms and is a traditional open carry state. If they go to shall-issue for CCW, you will see a whole lot of open carry as a protest, and I doubt moms are demanding that.

Just look at this...Not one person pictured knows what happens to the gas they put in their car. Or how a lightbulb works. Or how to change that selfie they just took from landscape to portrait...But they're 100% certain that there are more than 2 genders and that they are uniquely qualified to rule over the rest of us. :sad20:

    part of the problem?

According to a review of the state election results from Tuesday, Democrats faced no Republican challenger in 10 out of 40 Senate races or 25 percent.

The Republicans had no candidate on the ballot in 23 out of 100 House of Delegates races or 23 percent.

The Democrats won control of the Senate and House of Delegates for the first time in 26 years.

I don't think folks truly understand the extent of this. I've seen it personally in Georgia AND south Carolina. the locals hate them.

I think carpet baggers is what they call them

I couldn't have worded that any better. its so true.

2 state solution is going to be the only way.

I volunteered at a poll yesterday, Spotsylvania Republican. I had many interesting conversations running from an independent single mom voting D as a blow against Trump, to a man stating armed confrontation is close at hand. I’m saddened to see what is happening in this country, and the cause - liberals, do not have the fore-sight to see the train in the tunnel. The lack of historical knowledge, and blind MSM following, in our young folks will be their, and our country’s demise. fred55
