Anyone ever seen one? Any idea where they might be found? I have an older Savage without scope mount holes drilled and tapped from factory and want to keep some of it's original value. Of course then I'll probably have to find a decent vintage scope...

Check in with the Savage Collectors on the forum 24hourcampfire.com A few years ago I bought a vintage Stith mound and a Weaver K 1.5x scope from one of the guys on the site. I think he has developed a mount that obviates drilling and tapping of the Savage 99 receiver. That is a great advantage of the Stith mount. Don't remember the guy's name right now.
