Thanks, can’t remember why i didn’t take the bolt out of the 36.
Every time I think about removing the bolts from rifles, I think about all the potentially significant artifacts out there with mis-matched or missing bolts.
You are the custodian of those relics. Don't take a chance on losing parts. You say it won't happen, but life is funny. Please keep them intact. Lock them up, lock up the ammo, but don't risk the legacy which you only hold in trust.

What I do is put a property tag on the rifle and bolt. That way if I'm hit by a bus tomorrow my poor brother won't have a difficult time getting them mated again. Works a treat for non-matching bolts.
