    Years ago, they were treated as regulated weapons, which is what put me off. Didn't want to have a .22 rifle registered.

    By who? If they were, it was a mistake by that shop. Mine was certainly not regulated.

    I went up to Bollinger's a week or so ago, and they had a sale on suppressors. Made me think about it. It's already pretty quiet with some subsonic ammo, can't imagine how quiet a suppressor would make it.
    Very quiet with subsonic ammo... ;)

    Many shops back in the 2010ish time frame sold the 15-22, and the Sig 522 as regulated firearms, just like a standard barrel AR. The one shop I can recall actually looking at the 15-22 was The Gun Shack in Mt Airy. MSP eventually came out with a bulletin, I think, saying tactical looking .22s were exempt.
