Sort of kidding about Occam's Ruger. I was a little hard on him.

He may have an unregistered razor for sale, though.

OP wants a Smith, anyway.

I was wrong. I miss clicked on the Smith website. THE 586/686 and the 66 are the only guns in their catalog that are .357, 6-shot, SA/DA. The 66 Combat Magnum come close (although I'm really not fond of stainless), and comes with a 2.75 inch barrel. I'd need to change out the grips to something more classic/slimline as I have small hands.

Assuming adjustable sights are acceptable, the Model 66 Combat Magnum (K-frame) is what you're looking for: http://www.smith-wesson.com/firearms...-combat-magnum

Since you say you have small hands you’ll want good grips which do not cover the backstrap. You and I are in the same boat in that regard. The recoil won’t be too bad with an uncovered backstrap. It is a prefeence based and need to find out what really works for you.

literally exactly what you are asking for was on armslist in the MD section recently. I went back 20 pages and couldn't find it but you may want to take a look if your bored.

Thanks, I got them mixed up. I know it's K then L is bigger (just like the alphabet!) but sometimes feel dyslexic!
