    Did you end up having a blown case head or was it just those small cracks?

    The 8rd you chronographed had a standard deviation of 29.19 FPS and a max spread of 84 FPS, with an average of 2784 FPS. That's not terrible for ball ammo, but not great either.

    A small hole and smudge mark.
    When I fired a bit of smoke emerged from the bolt.
    I knew what happened.

    Long long ago when I was a brunette these rifles were cheap as hell.
    It is a damn shame how expensive they are today for the younger generation.
